Biography:

Norville "Shaggy" Rogers is a fictional character in the long-running animated TV Show *Scooby-Doo*. He is best known as the cowardly, perpetually hungry best friend of the titular Great Dane, Scooby-Doo.

Shaggy first appeared in *Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!*, which premiered in 1969. He is generally depicted as a lanky teenager with unkempt hair, dressed in a green V-neck T-shirt and brown bell-bottom pants.

Voiced originally by Casey Kasem, Shaggy is known for his characteristic speech patterns, often including the words "Zoinks!" and "Rokay!". Throughout the many *Scooby-Doo* TV shows and movies, Shaggy and Scooby's comedic cowardice and insatiable appetites are a constant source of humor.
